Forum on Bullying at Glastonbury High School Cafeteria Thursday

Rushford and the Glastonbury Alcohol and Drug Council is hosting a free community forum on bullying Thursday.

 

Rushford, a local substance abuse and mental health provider, and the Glastonbury Alcohol and Drug Council is hosting a free community forum on bullying this Thursday.

The forum will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Glastonbury High School cafeteria, and is open to middle and high school students, parents, teachers, coaches and other community members who want to further explore the issue of bullying. The forum will feature a panel of experts, including members of the Glastonbury Police Department, the Glastonbury Youth and Family Services and members of Rushford.

The panel presentation will cover topics like creating a positive school environment; what do if your child is involved with bullying; when to involve the police; and an overview of Connecticut Public Act 11-232, which strengthens school bullying laws.
