“Celebrate America” Piano Concert to be Held Friday
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at St. Luke's Church in South Glastonbury.
On Friday evening, St. Luke's will honor the legacy of Joan Dufford with a benefit concert on the newly arrived Steinway Piano.
Organist and pianist, Eugenia Sullivan, and Kathye Flanagan, Director of Worship, will play along with many of Dufford’s former students.
Songs from American composers such as Gershwin, Joplin, and more will be performed.
There is a suggested donation of $10. The proceeds will benefit the Joan Dufford Music Scholarship program that will give lessons to children, including those with special needs, among other musical projects in the church.
