Ricoh Closing Glastonbury Location

The imagining and tech company announced it is consolidating one of its two Glastonbury locations.

Ricoh Americas Corp., an imaging company based in Japan, is closing of its two Glastonbury locations.

The Hartford Courant reported that the company is consolidating one of its customer administration offices at its Winding Brook location and relocating a portion to a facility in Georgia.

"We're working on finalizing those details over the next several months,” according to a statement issued to NBC Connecticut.

The company declined to tell the Courant how many people could lose their jobs due to the consolidation.

Ricoh downsized one of its facilities last fall, laying off 57 people in Connecticut in the process.

The company employees between 250 and 499 people in Glastonbury, according to the state Department of Labor.
