Glastonbury Business Collects Items for Victims of Hurricane Sandy

A Glastonbury business collected nine pallets of items to donate to victims of Hurricane Sandy.

 

A local wealth management business collected nine pallets of donated items to assist Hurricane Sandy-related relief efforts in New York and New Jersey last week.

Gottfried and Somberg Wealth Management, 340 Hebron Ave., collected donations along with two other regional businesses to donate to areas in New York and New Jersey that were severely impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

The businesses collected fresh water; soap, toilet paper and other toiletries; baby food, formula, wipes and diapers; flashlights and batteries; non-perishable goods and pet food; socks, underwear and cleaning supplies; and other necessary items.

In total the businesses collected nine pallets of goods, which will be distributed to needy residents by St. Gertrude Parish in Far Rockaway in Queens, NY.
