Goodwill Leaving Glastonbury Transfer Station

After nearly a decade of collecting donated items, the thrift store will no longer have a representative at the transfer station.

 

Goodwill is no longer collecting donations at the town’s transfer station.

After nearly 10 years, the popular thrift store will no longer have a representative at the station to accept donated items to bring to its Main St. store.

Store representatives said Friday that the town’s decision not to allow nonresidents access to the transfer station meant the drop box was no longer cost-effective. The Goodwill Store at 2725 Main St. will still accept all donations.

The Salvation Army still has a box at the transfer station.
