A Celtic Music Celebration with Ringrose & Freeman

St. Luke’s Church,
(915 Main Street, South Glastonbury), is proud to present A Celtic Music Celebration with Ringrose &
Freeman, with special guests
(to be announced) on Friday, May 2nd at 7pm at St.
Luke’s Church.  Tickets are $15 for
adults and $10 for students and seniors plus a donation for the local food bank.  A portion of the ticket price will also be
used to feed the hungry.

Combine two of New
England's finest Celtic musicians - fiddler Jeanne Freeman, whose playing has
been described as effortlessly virtuosic -- and singer/guitarist Dan Ringrose,
whose voice has been called “stunning,” and you have the unique duo of Ringrose
& Freeman. Featured on Connecticut Public Television, Better Connecticut,
the Greater Hartford Irish Festival, and in many other venues, they bring a
lively freshness to traditional and original tunes and songs, along with
stories, poetry, and humor.

Fiddler
Jeanne Freeman is one of New England's leading Irish fiddlers. She  studied Irish fiddling with the late Donegal
fiddler P.V. O'Donnell, and played and performed with him regularly for many
years.  Jeanne was the featured Irish
fiddle soloist with the Hartford
Symphony Orchestra at the Bushnell Theatre for the 2012 Saint
Patrick's Day Celebration.  In 2013 she established
and now runs the Connecticut Academy of Irish Music, which offers instruction
on a variety of traditional Irish music instruments.  She also hosts a weekly traditional Irish
music session in Hartford.   In March 2014, Jeanne released her solo debut
CD, “The Fiddler You Are,” produced by John Whelan.

With a rich,
baritone voice that has been described as "stunning" and

"powerful," along with a 300 song repertoire and mischievous sense of

humor, Dan began performing professionally over thirty years ago. From fairs

and festivals to concert halls, he's known for command of the stage,

easily enticing crowds to clap and sing along with hearty Irish “rousers” – yet
at the drop of a hat may move them to tears with sweet ballads and poetry.   Dan’s career has afforded him the honor of
performing with some of the most notable names in Celtic music including Tommy
Makem,  P.V. O'Donnell,  The Clancy
Brothers, John Whelan, piper Michael Cooney, The Fury Brothers, The Wolfe Tones
and Ireland's funnymen Brendan Grace and Hal Roach.  Dan has a number of  solo releases, which each capture the passion,
emotion, and humor enjoyed by so many through the years.    He is

also appears as a guest artist on Jeanne’s solo CD, “The Fiddler You Are.”
