GLASTONBURY FARMERS MARKET

At the July 12 Glastonbury Farmers Market on the Hubbard
Green (10 am to 1pm) the Welles-Turner Memorial Library presents story times
for kids and introduces  the “Glastonbury
Green Family Challenge” which encourages kids and their families to  visit local farms, try new foods and learn
about healthier cooking and eating.  Kids earn fun prizes by participating in the Challenge!  This week’s visiting vendors offer gluten-free
baked goods, custom blended olive oils
and vinegars, pasta sauces and local pottery.
Weekly vendors feature organic and pesticide-free produce, micro greens,
cow and goat cheeses, milk and yogurts, eggs, locally raised meats and poultry,
honey, maple syrup, jams, jellies, artisanal baked goods, cookies, BBQ sauces ,
spices, herbs, soaps and lotions, artisanal gift products, information on
aquaponic food systems and more!  John
Maziars, a market favorite, will entertain you with live classic and modern
rock music!  Come at 9 and enjoy and join
a free yoga class presented by Sacred Rivers Yoga. Friend of the Market Program
