Glastonbury Motorcycle Torch Run for Special Olympics Sunday!

The 13th annual Glastonbury Police Officers Association's Motorcycle Torch Run will be held Sunday.

This Sunday marks the 13th annual Glastonbury Police Officers Association’s Motorcycle Torch Run to benefit the Special Olympics.

The motorcycle ride will begin at the Irish American Home Society, 132 Commerce St., at 11 a.m. sharp; the event will stage at 10:30 a.m.

The ride will travel all throughout eastern Connecticut before ending back at the society, where all riders will enjoy a free barbeque lunch. There will be a full police escort for the entire ride.

The association requests a $25 donation per motorcycle; all proceeds go directly to Special Olympics of Connecticut.
