Police say a 55-year-old man ran a stop sign early Monday morning, crashing into a school bus at the intersection of Neipsic Road and Brook Street.
Mohan Sangam was driving at approximately 7:38 a.m. when police say he ran a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a school bus carrying 19 children. None of the students nor the bus driver were injured in the crash, police said.
Sangam was not injured, but his 48-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital after complaining of head pain caused by the car’s airbags deploying.
The police department and school officials worked to notify the students’ parents this morning, police said.
Sangam was ticketed for failure to obey a stop sign.
