Glastonbury Police Blotter: Oct. 5 - Oct. 9

The following information was submitted from the Glastonbury Police Department. An arrest or infraction does not indicate a conviction.

Oct. 6

Maria Pecor, 52, of 68 Green Briar, Glastonbury, was charged with disorderly conduct after police received a report of a domestic dispute at her address. After an investigation, police determined Pecor was in a physical altercation with a family member resulting in her arrest. She was released on a written promise to appear in court the following day.

Richard A. Saffery, 48, of 45A Brewster Road, Glastonbury, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening after police responded to a report of a possible domestic dispute at 45A Brewster Road. A subsequent investigation revealed Saffery had been involved in a verbal altercation with his mother, during which he threatened to throw her through a wall. The argument was loud enough that a neighbor heard the threat and called the police. He was released on $2,500 non-surety bond for presentation in court the next day.

Robert V. Provera, 34, of 11 Honan Terrace, East Hartford, was arrested on charges of sixth-degree larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia after police say an off duty Glastonbury officer witnessed a shoplifting from 7-Eleven convenience store located at 3041 Main St. The officer detained the suspect, who was held in lieu of $10,000 bond and is due in court the following day. While investigating the shoplifting, police determined that Provera had active PRAWN warrants held by Hartford Police. He was held for presentment on charges of failure to respond to a violation and second-degree failure to appear.  It was also determined that Provera had an active PRAWN warrant held by Middletown Police charging him with first-degree failure to appear. He was held in lieu of $150,000 bond in that case.

Alexander Zea, 31, of 65 Linden St., Glastonbury, was arrested on charges of interfering with a police officer and possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana after officers responded to town hall for a report of an intoxicated male. When officers arrived, police say he became combative. He is due in court on Oct. 23.

Oct. 4

Mary E. Schilling, 31, of 100 Valentine St., Newington, turned herself in on a warrant charging her with second-degree failure to appear. She was released on $8,000 bond and is due in court on Oct. 23.

Matthew Bailey, 24, of 116 Chestnut Hill Road, East Hampton, was charged with driving under the influence, operating a motor vehicle while under suspension and violation of emissions standard after police say they stopped his vehicle and found that he was driving under a suspended license under the influence of alcohol. He was also on probation for DUI and driving under suspension, police said. He was held in lieu of $25,000 bond for presentation in court later that day.

Oct. 3

Nathan Kehoe, 18, of no certain address, was arrested on an arrest warrant charging him with third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit credit card theft and two (2) charges of credit card theft after waiving extradition from Putnam County, New York. He was held in lieu of $250,000 bond for presentation in court on Oct. 4. A 17-year-old female accomplice was also brought back from Putnam County New York by Glastonbury Police after she waived extradition.

Jay J. Pare, 40, of 10 Sioux Road, East Hartford, turned himself in on a warrant charging him with second-degree failure to appear. He was held in lieu of $500 bon for presentation in court later that day.

Oct. 1

Tania S. Anderson, 27, of 688 Garden St., Hartford, turned herself in on an active warrant charging her with fourth-degree larceny. The warrant stemmed from an investigation into a theft that occurred at Victoria Secret in June 2013. She was held on $15,000 bond and appeared in court later that day.

A 15-year-old juvenile was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct after officers responded to a report of a domestic assault in the parking lot of 41C New London Turnpike. He was released on a written promise to appear in juvenile court on Oct. 8.
