Stephen E. Schillinger, 50, of 45 House St., Glastonbury, was arrested on a charge of second-degree breach of peace after police say he kicked a dog and hit another in the face with a leash after the dog had been observed roughly playing with his dog. He was released on a written promise to appear in court on Sept. 25.

Nathaniel J. Harkins, 28, of 143 Jobs Hill Road, Ellington, was arrested on a charges of sixth-degree larceny after police responded to a report by Whole Foods Market that he had stolen a Vita Mix blender from their store. He was released on a written promise to appear in court on Sept. 25.
