Glastonbury Police Blotter: Sept. 22 - Sept. 25

The following information was submitted from the Glastonbury Police Department. An arrest or infraction does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 23

Milton Doremus, 46, of 668 Storrs Road, Storrs, was charged with two (2) counts of failure to respond to an infraction after he was stopped by police for a traffic violation and found to have two outstanding PRAWN warrants from the Mansfield Police Department. He was brought to the Glastonbury Police Department, processed and released on $75 bond. He is due in court on Oct. 7.

Nihal Patel, 19, of 63 Greenhurst Lane, East Hartford, was charged with possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and failure to obey a stop sign after police say they stopped his vehicle for running a stop sign and was in possession of marijuana.

Sept. 21

Trevor Constantine, 21, of 439 Chimney Sweep Hill Road, Glastonbury, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving after police said officers observed him operating recklessly on Hebron Ave. near House Street. Further investigation revealed that he was driving under the influence. He was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and is due in court on Oct. 7.

Sept. 20

John Zuk, 50, of 3671 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, was arrested and charged with evading responsibility and unsafe backing after police say an investigation revealed he hit a car while backing out of a driveway and subsequently left the scene. He was released on a written promise to appear in court on Oct. 7.

Sept. 18

John R. Bartlett, 27, was charged with possession of less than ½ ounce of cannabis and possession of paraphernalia after police were conducting a motor vehicle stop and found the odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside his vehicle. Bartlett admitted to having marijuana in the car; Bartlett was in possession of a glass smoking pipe and less than ½ ounce of marijuana, police said.
