Man Arrested in Connection with Several Glastonbury Home Burglaries

Shane Martingano was arrested on numerous burglary and larceny charges Friday.

A man was arrested Friday in connection with dozens of burglaries in the Hartford area, including several homes in Glastonbury.

On July 13 officers with the Glastonbury Police Department served an arrest warrant on Shane Martingano, 31, in connection with a series of residential burglaries in the Hartford area from November 2012 through January 2013. The warrants stemmed from an extensive police investigation into the burglaries, police said.

Maringano, who is currently being held in Hartford Correctional Center, was charged in connection with breaking into homes on Matson Hill Road and Glastonbury Hunt Lane in Glastonbury.

He is facing two (2) counts each of third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, as well as a single count each of first-degree criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit first-degree criminal mischief.

Martingano’s accomplice in the Glastonbury Hunt Lane burglary, Derek Pierini, has been arrested and is currently incarcerated, police said. Police say they have an arrest warrant for the accomplice in the Matson Hill Rd burglary, who is currently incarcerated as well.
