PD: Glastonbury Building Evacuated Due to Gas Main Leak

Authorities responded to 320 Western Boulevard due to a gas main leak at 11:16 a.m.

The Glastonbury Fire Department responded to a business complex at 320 Western Boulevard at 11:16 a.m. on a report of a natural gas main leak, according to the Glastonbury Police Department.

Police received a 911 call reporting the gas main leak and Fire Department officials evacuated 320 & 310 Western Boulevard and set up a perimeter around the location as a precaution.

Authorities from Connecticut Natural Gas and Connecticut Light & Power are enroute to the scene, police said.

The gas leak was determined to be outside one of the buildings, but it is unknown yet what caused the leak. There were no reported injuries.

Western Boulevard is currently closed to all traffic.
