PD: Hartford Men Sold Heroin at Glastonbury Burger King

A regional narcotics task force arrested the men Tuesday afternoon.

Two Hartford men were arrested Tuesday after members of a regional narcotics task force conducted a drug bust targeting a suspected heroin dealer named “Cuba.”

At 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers with the East Central Narcotics Task Force conducted a buy/bust operation in the parking lot of the Burger King on Main St. in Glastonbury, according to Sgt. Anthony Palombizio.

Task force officers said they observed “Cuba” sell heroin in the parking lot, and then took him into custody. “Cuba” was identified as Juan Pieve, 29, of 157 Sheldon St., Hartford, police said.

Police also arrested the driver of Pieve’s car, Fernando Guadalup, 35, of 49 Newton St., Apt. 1, Hartford.

During the operation, task force members seized 40 bags of heroin and a 2004 Chrysler 300, police said.

Both Pieve and Guadalupe were charged with sale of heroin, possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to sell. Both men were found to be on parole for narcotics charges at the time of their arrests.

Pieve was held in lieu of $300,000 bond; Guadalupe was held in lieu of $25,000 bond. Both men were remanded into the custody of the Department of Corrections.
