PD: Two Charged With Hosting Underage Party for Over 100

Police say they responded to 33 Hanover Fields Road and found over 100 teenagers, alcohol and drug paraphernalia.

Two Hanover Fields Road homeowners were charged with hosting a house party for over 100 juveniles last Friday that police say included alcohol and marijuana.

On Friday, Sept. 27, the Glastonbury Police Department received an anonymous tip that an “open house” party was going to be held at 33 Hanover Fields Road, and that alcohol was going to be served with a large number of youths attending, according to police.

Police checked the residence at 9:13 p.m. and found over 100 juveniles inside the house, all of them between 15 and 17 years old, police said.

A large number of the teenagers ran from the area when police arrive. Officers said they found beer, hard alcohol and drug paraphernalia in the yard, and found a juvenile male vomiting. They could also detect the smell of marijuana coming from the basement of the home, police said.

The homeowners, Christopher Nixon, 49, and Shawn Nixon, 50, were present and admitted to hosting the party, police said. They were each charged with allowing minors to possess alcohol.
