A House Street man who police say angrily set a house on fire while four people slept inside was arrested Tuesday.

Aharon Ron, 22, of 300 House St., Glastonbury, was arrested in Manchester with the assistance of the East Central Narcotics Task Force and charged with first-degree arson, first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, tampering with physical evidence and two (2) counts of second-degree false statement.

Ron was held in lieu of $800,000 bond and was arraigned Wednesday in Manchester Superior Court.

At 3 a.m. on Nov. 25, 2012, Aharon set a fire at a Stanley Drive house where four people were sleeping inside. Ron was an acquaintance of the individuals at the home, police said.

Ron admitted to police that he set the fire, saying he was intoxicated and angry at the time.

The individuals in the home woke up and escaped without injury.
