Police: Glastonbury Teens Arrested For Throwing Party While Parents Were Away

A teenage party on Neipsic Road was allegedly crashed by parents coming home early, who called the police on their own children. Would you call the police on your children?

Two Glastonbury teenagers were arrested earlier this week after they allegedly threw underage drinking parties three nights in a row at their home while their parents were on a weekend trip, only to be caught after their parents came home earlier than expected.

The Hartford Courant reports that two girls aged 15 and 16 face charges of permitting a minor to possess alcohol after they were allegedly caught having a party at their Neipsic Road home on the weekend of Oct. 11. Police allege that the girls had underage drinking parties on Oct. 11 and Oct. 12 while their parents were gone for a three-day vacation. The girls allegedly tried to have a party again on Sunday, Oct. 13, but their parents came home earlier than expected and found the party, according to the Courant.

According to the newspaper, between 15 and 20 people allegedly attended the parties each night. The girls' names were not released because they are minors. The parents called the police because they said "it was the right thing to do," according to the Courant.
