Police: Man Had 50 Bags Of Heroin At Glastonbury Dunkin Donuts

Jose Sanchez and Juan Rosario are facing charges for allegedly trying to sell heroin.

Police arrested two men today who they said tried to sell heroin at the Glastonbury Dunkin Donuts on Main Street and then, when being pursued, threw the heroin into the woods.

At around 3 this afternoon, members of the East Central Narcotics Task Force conducted a "buy/bust operation" in the parking lot of the Dunkin Donuts at 3040 Main Street on Glastonbury. There, Jose Sanchez - street name "Vru" - was caught trying to sell heroin and took off on foot from police, according to a task force press release.

While running, Sanchez threw heroin into the woods, but was eventually captured, according to police. A second man - Juan Rosario - was also taken into custody after he allegedly was serving as Sanchez's driver, according to police.

The task force seized over 50 bags of heroin, Suboxone - a narcotic, a switch blade and a 2002 Chrysler 300 from the two men. Both men have a "long history of arrests in Connecticut," according to the press release.

Sanchez, 44, of 22 Kebbe St, Hartford, was charged with sale of heroin, possession of heroin, possession of narcotics, interfering with police and tampering with evidence and given a $200,000 surety bond. Rosario, 37, of 2 Columbus Circle, East Hartford, was charged with sale of heroin, possession of heroin, carrying a dangerous weapon and possessing a weapon in a vehicle and was given a $100,000 surety bond.
