Second Man Arrested After Seeking Pot on Craig's List

A second individual was arrested Thursday after posting an ad on Craig's List looking to buy marijuana.

 

For the second time in two days, a regional narcotics task force arrested a man who police say tried purchase marijuana by posting an ad on Craig’s List.

Nicholas Fox, 22, of Wethersfield, posted an advertisement on the classified advertisement website Craig’s List saying that he was looking to purchase marijuana, according to Sgt. Anthony Palombizio of the East Central Narcotics Task Force.

Instead of a pot dealer, however, undercover ECN Task Force officers arranged to meet with Fox in the parking lot of the McDonald’s Restaurant at 2915 Main St. answered Fox’s ad, Palombizio said.

On Thursday, surveillance units waited for Fox outside the McDonald’s, and arrested him without incident.

Fox was charged with attempt to possess more than ½ ounce of marijuana. He was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond, and is due to be arraigned in Manchester Superior Court.
