GHS Athletic Department Recognized by School Board for Outstanding Achievement

The Glastonbury High School athletic department won the Michaels Achievement Cup for the second year in a row.

 

The Glastonbury High School athletic department was recently recognized by the school board for winning the Michael's Achievement Cup for the second year in a row.

and the Board of Education recognized the program for their second year of excellence at a recent meeting.

GHS is the first school to earn the honor more than once since the CIAC took over the program in 2008.  Glastonbury was honored at the sixth-annual CIAC Sportsmanship Conference, where 18 schools were recognized for exemplary athletics programs.

Glastonbury was recognized for their achievements in sportsmanship, participation, athletic scholarship, athletic personnel, equity, chemical free initiatives and athletic achievement, according to a release from the CIAC.

Glastonbury was selected for the "Most Outstanding Exemplary Athletic Program Of The Year.”
