Glastonbury Republicans Hosting Candidate Meet-and-Greet on Sept. 8

Residents and voters can meet the fall candidates and get free ice cream at Robb's Farm in South Glastonbury.

With the November election on the way, the Glastonbury Republican Town Committee is holding an ice cream social to give residents a chance to meet their candidates.

On Sept. 8, town residents and voters are invited to Robb’s Farm, 91 Wassuc Road, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to meet the Republican candidates that will be on the ballot in this November’s elections, according to the committee. There will be free ice cream for those who attend.

Republicans currently hold a majority in Glastonbury, with a 6-3 majority on the town council and a 5-3 majority on the board of education. However, three of the party’s incumbents have decided not to run for re-election. Council Vice Chairwoman Lorraine Marchetti and Councilwoman Diane DeLuzio will not be re-running, nor will school board member Pandy Wohler.
