Newcomers Joining Glastonbury Republican Slate for 2013 Elections

Local Republicans hope to retain their majorities on both the Town Council and Board of Education.

Two new people are joining the slate of Republican Town Council candidates for the upcoming 2013 municipal elections.

The Hartford Courant reported that William Finn and Karen Boisvert are both joining the ticket of candidates for the Glastonbury Town Council, joining incumbents Kurt Cavanaugh, Whit Osgood, Lawrence Byar and Chairman Stewart Beckett III. 

Local Republicans also presented a slate of candidates for the Board of Education, including one newcomer, the Courant reported.

Republicans have a 6-3 majority on the Glastonbury Town Council and and 5-3 majority on the education board.
