The Glastonbury Police Department's primary responsibility is to provide protection of life and property, preserve the peace, prevent crime, recover lost property, repress crime, regulate non-criminal conduct, apprehend offenders and perform miscellaneous services. Its mission statement is "All members of the Glastonbury Police Department are committed to providing quality service in a professional and sensitive manner to everyone in our community.
