Does anyone bother to read the story? The woman he said it to said "no problem". It didn'tRead More say she was angry. No where in the story did anyone even mention that the mother said it first. Why do people insist on adding things to the story? I still think there is more to the story then being told. But it's okay. The people on here will add to it themselves.

The writer of this article should make a correction...only the first two on the list of 7 possiblyRead More contaminated fruits are organic. Hi everyone here. What Christine Coleman said is very true though i may not know her. I experiencedRead More it first hand also. It was this organization called consumer loan firm (C.L.f)that really helped me to pay my medical bills when i was in dare need of money because i am a widow. A friend of my also directed me to them. when i was about to do a major operation and i had no money at that time, they came to my rescue and in less than 48 hours, i got my loan. But to say the truth, i was nervous and scared at first because i have been scammed twice. But when i summoned up courage and follow their lending policies along with my friends advice, at the end i found myself smiling. If not for them, maybe i would have been dead by now. I have even taken another loan from them start my business after my recovery which i am also paying back now. My only advice now is that any body who is really in need of loan should contact them with their email via: consumerloanfirm@gmail.com and get a loan from them. Thanks
This guy deserves his bad reputation.

My experience is not anecdotal, that is usually a one time situation. My experience spans 25 years,Read More in different industries, and being part of hiring thousands of people at all different job levels. I am sure there are companies who have discriminated but they are few and far between. With all the women in HR positions all over this country, if this was news, it would have been made news long ago. Plus, people are litigious and companies are not going to risk that. In addition, since I have been privy to employee lawsuits, I never saw ONE that had to do with pay disparity with men. Sometimes they had to do with sexual harrassment, however the biggest number, according to statistics, is retaliation for being on leave, and that has nothing to do with gender.

Frank in bury. If you are old enough to remember the O,Neil budget fiasco that resulted in theRead More implementation of the state income tax of 4.5%, the alternative was a 12% sales tax. That sales tax would have been also paid predominantly by Fairfield County residents. They carry, financially, the other 8 counties in Connecticut.
arkay July 22, 2014 at 12:57 am
@Gus, counties don't actually mean anything in CT, just geographic borders. Bridgeport is as much ofRead More a money suck as any city in the state, and that's in FFC. There's plenty of affluent communities in New Haven, Hartford, Litchfield counties (and elsewhere) that pay their fair share. Fairfield County does pay a proportionally high amount of taxes, but that is in a select few towns - definitely not northern or eastern FFC, which is more in line with other parts of the state.

Paula, you'd actually have to show me where I am whining about what you say Im whining about. MyRead More view of the situation is that no one seems to be winning. And it is derived from a liberal point of view that borders are bad things. So we have kids in jails, mothers who no longer have their kids nearby, and border towns that are inundated and strapped for resources. What I see is the border town churches--the one's that are excoraiated for their 'hateful' attitudes the primary organizations that are doing their best to help these kids. People like yourself, I dont see actually helping, unless you think blogging is helpful? People who say they want their tax dollars to go there instead of to the Dept of Defense (me too by the way) but who cant comprehend that the taxpayers are the exact people you villify and the non-taxpayers are the one's you hail as iconic. When you tell me that you view occupy people as sponges and non-contributors to society instead of Exxon, we will be aligned. Do I think that Wal-mart benefits from our social welfare system--yep I do. But thats where unions should step in, not the government. because when government gets involved in anything, it messes things up. I have discussed, but not yet booked getting a ticket and spending a week on the border towns trying to help. I havent committed yet-because Im hoping somebody else joins me. Im not gonna tell you ive done something i havent, but I also dont think that im a better person if I repudiate others as you feel is being a good person. If you tell me you are right there in the trenches -bravo-if youre just anther liberal who makes their life's mission correcting the actions or non-actions of others, while not doing anything real--then who cares . Ive spent a good part of my life trying to help others. And each time I see liberals like yourself lecturing, and my experience is that the people who actually roll up their sleeves are republicans. So prove me wrong-but not fake prove me wrong. But my sense is you actually think you are a good person because you tell others to want to help.
